GENERAL MEETINGS (See branch program details from the drop-down menu starting in September.)

General meetings present programs on a wide range of topics such as: environment, public policy, equity issues, science, culture, travel and history.

These meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month, September through May, usually at the Bernards Township Library from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. One popular meeting is the annual author’s luncheon held at a local restaurant.

Every summer, for more than 60 years, AAUW Somerset Hills has held a used book sale. All branch members are expected to help. The book sale has become a community book “recycling” project with many non-member friends helping to collect, sort, sell, and pass on the remainder books to other charitable groups.

Our book sale raises funds for:

  • AAUW Education scholarships
  • AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund
  • Scholarships at our local colleges
  • Local public libraries
  • The host school library
